OUR MISSION
Meet our Founder
Sierra Balgar, aged 26, hails from Harlem, New York. Raised in a household blending Caribbean and American cultures by her grandmothers and mother, she learned early on the value of resilience in the face of adversity. Introduced to golf in her twenties by a friend, she discovered a passion for the sport's challenges. However, she also noticed the striking lack of diversity on the golf course and struggled to find a community that resonated with her. In response, she established City Girls Golf, aiming to unite women of color from urban backgrounds in learning and enjoying golf. Armed with only her iPhone and leveraging social media, she sparked a nationwide movement, inspiring women from diverse backgrounds to embrace the game.
